Tres Mares is Carlos and Sharon's business, with 4,000+ bookings behind it and homes on three seas: the Pacific and the Caribbean in Costa Rica, Puget Sound in Washington State, and the Mediterranean in Málaga, where we live today.
Costa Rican business administrator, based in Málaga, Spain. He started hosting in 2015 with a spare room in his apartment and built Tres Mares from there. Easygoing, detail-oriented and empathetic, he is sociable with guests and goes the extra mile for them. He speaks Spanish and English, and basic Portuguese.

Tres Mares started in 2015 with one spare room and a habit of answering every message personally. Over the years that grew into a short-term rental business that at its peak ran 25 homes and six vehicles, with 4,000+ bookings and a 4.78 average rating.
We trained the cleaning and maintenance teams ourselves, wrote the checklists they still use, and learned what guests ask for before they ask: an early check-in after a long drive, a place to leave bags, a guide who picks up nearby for a night walk. In Monteverde those are standard; elsewhere, ask and we will tell you what is possible that day.
We answer on WhatsApp ourselves, in Spanish and English.
